As an offshoot of the Orientation on the Preparation of Program/Project Logical Framework conducted by Ms. Ma. Gloria L. Daluddung, Senior Economic Development Specialist of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), the Climate Change Adaptation Mitigation Initiative in Agriculture (CC-AMIA) Program in a decisive move towards fostering sustainable agriculture practices, spearheaded the crafting of the logical framework of the CC-AMIA Program, on August 4, 2023.
Ms. Kay S. Olivas, CC-AMIA Project Leader, led the identification of secondary data while, the CC-AMIA Program staff presented the result of their Participatory Climate Resiliency and Vulnerability Assessment (PCRVA) and the AMIA Development Pathway for review to identify bases or considerations for the crafting of the problem tree and objective tree necessary for the CC-AMIA Program logical framework.
Moreover, a follow up writeshop was conducted on August 23-24, 2023, which brought together CC-AMIA Program, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Division (PMED), and a diverse group of experts from the different banner programs as the program intend to mainstream climate-resilient agricultural practice into regular programs and projects of the department by integrating adaptation and mitigation strategies within the agricultural system to enhance productivity while mitigating risks and hazards.
The primary objective of the writeshop was to collaboratively develop a comprehensive logical framework for the CC-AMIA Program, outlining its goals, strategies, anticipated outcomes and outputs, and strategies.
During the writeshop, participants engaged in brainstorming and collaborative exercises to refine the Problem Tree, Objective Tree, and Logical Framework of the program. Their collective expertise and insights ensured that the framework was comprehensive, practical, and aligned with the needs of the agricultural community. The completion of the CC-AMIA Logical Framework through this writeshop, signifies a crucial step forward towards the fight against climate change and the pursuit of sustainable agriculture.
In the face of a rapidly changing climate, initiatives like the CC-AMIA Program underscore the significance of collaboration and innovation in shaping a more resilient and sustainable future for agriculture. The event marked a significant milestone in the department’s ongoing efforts to address the challenges posed by climate change and to ensure the resilience of agricultural systems.
