DA Climate Resilient Agriculture Office (CRAO) Director Alicia G. Ilaga shared the AMIA Village Approach of building climate-resilient villages during the second day of the Roving Workshop on Climate-Smart Villages as Platforms for Community-Level Anticipatory Climate Adaptation to Improve Food Security and Resiliency (CSA-CSV) organized by the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA) and International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR) last 19-20 September 2023.

During the virtual event, Dir. Ilaga traced the history of the AMIA Village Approach, discussing how it evolved into the blueprint for establishing, scaling up, and eventually graduating to become an enterprise of climate-resilient villages such as the DA’s AMIA Villages. ###
