MARILOG DISTRICT, DAVAO CITY — DA-RFO 11 formally launches their AMIA Village today at Brgy. Suawan, Marilog District, Davao City. The AMIA Village of Davao City will cover three barangays: Brgy. Suawan, Brgy. Tamugan, and Brgy. Magsaysay.
The program opened with a tribal ritual prayer by selected members of the IP community, followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony and unveiling of the project marker, and walkthrough of the communal project.
Among the attendees were DA-SWCCO Director U-Nichols Manalo and staff, Project Leader Simeon Fernandez, representatives from the Municipal Agriculture Office, and members of the community:
- Brgy. Magsaysay: Indangan Bagobo Women’s Association (IBWA), Magsaysay Marketing Cooperative (MMC)
- Brgy. Suawan: Aguila Farmers’ Association
- Brgy. Tamugan: Lower Tamugan Integrated Farmers’ Association (LOTIFA)
- Upper Tamugan Integrated Farmers’ Association (UTIFA)
- Datulama Dagan Pequeño Farmers’ Association
